As my regular readers know…I recently lost my son. This was the single most painful week-end I’ve ever had. I really didn’t want to have Mother’s day this year, as I’m sure y’all understand.
As the week-end drew nearer…my heart grew heavier, like a signal that it was going to hurt. It did. But, My daughter and son in law showed up, and brought my grandson. I have to say: Watching that small boy run about, completely oblivious to the weight of the situation, is a complete testament of God’s true blessings. They don’t know, or need to know the heaviness that all this grief. I watched him, and remembered how precious life is…and what a cherished little blessing my grandchildren are. Even though this holiday was very painful…it was also filled with the blessings of family. That I am grateful for.

I so love this Rustic Sailboat from Meatloaf and Melodrama! I’m telling you guys, she shows us how easy this is to make…we can do this! 🙂
And this is the best idea from My Family Mealtime…make up some mini Antipasto jars on the weekend and have a ready made lunch all week! What a treat this would be! I love it!!!
