Fireplaces….
Who doesn’t love a crackling fire in the fall. I love waking up and walking outside on a crisp fall morning and smelling a fireplace. I don’t know why that always just speaks FALL to me. I think that very first fire of the season…is what makes me feel like fall is really here. I actually think I might enjoy the outdoors, with a fireplace burning…more than indoors…is that crazy? Well…no one ever accused me of being normal.
I sincerely think…I like fireplaces more for their “decorating potential” more than for the fire itself. I mean, lets be honest…unless you’re sitting on top of it…a fire, really, is just for looks. Not that there is anything wrong with that….Just sayin’. They’re for decorating!! 😀
I have decorated mine a couple of times for fall already…and I have a bunch of friends that have decorated theirs up too…and I’m sharing them with y’all today. I’m so excited! There is an amazing amount of talent on these pages y’all! Grab your coffee…or hot chocolate…and be prepared to be awwwwed! (By the way…this post is HEAVY with pictures…so with some connections…it may take some time to load!)
I’m not even sure I want to share mine…now that I’ve seen the others….but here goes….GULP!
This is my colorful mantel this year. I think the bright colors of my festive fall swag are gorgeous….Red is my favorite color after all. And the cotton…well, it’s just part of my heritage!
I must admit, although red is my favorite color….the mono-toned, subdued colors of my natural fireplace….just has my heart.
Now…although I love my demure little cottage…and cottage fireplace….wait till you get a load of these…..
Amy from Atta Girl Says Just totally outdid herself with this natural and turquoise mantel. With turquoise being my next favorite color…how could this NOT win my heart?
What about this gorgeous stained glass and lit up darling by Colleen from Just Paint It? She couldn’t have shown that off any better!
Don’t have a mantel?…Well that’s okay! Look what the amazing Marty from over at Marty’s Musings did with her “non-mantel”!
Check out this darling Mantel Garland from Shanna at Restoration Redoux. Another awesome turquoise project and a tutorial!
Here’s another NON fireplace…but would still work just as wonderfully for a mantel. The fabulous Laura from Inspiration for Moms shared this set of vignettes. I love her subtle style….don’t you?
Denyse from Glitter, Glue and Paint shared this table top with me….LOOK at that color! I love her fall subway art too!!
I love Donna’s basket mantel over at Funky Junk Interiors. Her hydrangeas are amazing! You should read about how this mantel got it’s look…WOW!
Y’all know how much I love me some junk….so Shannon from Fox Hollow Cottage has a mantel right after my own heart!
I love the simply stated beauty of this fall banner and mantel that Jen over at Girl in the Garage made. There is just something about burlap, that wins my heart every time!
Jane from Cottage at the Crossroads did a mantel much like mine, all naturals and calming colors…..what’s NOT to love about that?
Ahhhh for the fabulous, fun, festive, famous, favorite fall fireplaces!
Y’all don’t forget we’ve got a big ole fall themed party going on over at LCI this week too! Some cool projects happening over there! 😀

Hi Tammy,
So many beautiful fireplaces and I enjoyed seeing all of them! I have a thing for cotton so I especially love yours! Would you mind telling me where you got those white urns? I am on the hunt for some that are the same size of yours!

Jane, Firstly, Thank you. Yes I love cotton too. I don’t mind at all. I’m pretty sure I got them several years ago at Wal-mart. They were black…and they’re the resin…which saddens me…but you can’t tell unless you lift them. I spray painted them with ivory..and sanded just a bit. I hope you find some. Planters and urns have just gotten ridiculous in price. Thanks for stopping by!
