Decorating with white containers and yard clippings.

The ongoing obsession with decorating with white doesn’t seem to be going anywhere….THANK GOODNESS!!! I absolutely adore this style. It’s fresh, and clean and so soothing for my loud, busy spirit.

In this busy hustling bustling world…don’t we all need a quiet respite? A place to rest our minds?

I know I do!

“White: an inherently positive color, is associated with purity, virginity, innocence, light, goodness, heaven, safety, brilliance, illumination, understanding, cleanliness, faith, beginnings, sterility, spirituality, possibility, humility, sincerity, protection, softness, and perfection.”

Even creams, grays and beiges are tranquil…and look oh so gorgeous with white.

It goes without saying that white looks good with everything…but what about “White goes with EVERY style.” ?

Brimming with cuttings from the yard, this white vase would look stunning with any style…In my humble opinion. This one sits atop my bar in the kitchen. With cuttings from my yard. Like Barbara over at Live Creatively Inspire d says….I too have OCD (obsessive Cutting disorder)

This collection of white vases and pitchers has been a obsession for a while. I just adore them.

They seem to look better in groupings…with friends.

I have an extensive property as Barbara.

Tons of greenery to supply my cutting habit…..

Flax blossoms accented with asparagus fronds….

eponymous and asparagus are the perfect touch for my wood roses. Coupled with other containers, this vignette would be stunning in nearly every setting……

Even these cuttings from my mother’s grapevine ivy set to root in water just looks oh so important when placed in a unique pitcher with heavenly bamboo blooms…..

I just love the juxtaposition of the elegant container looks with this chippy peely old step stool.

Even an ordinary pitcher….can change its personality with a collection of red-hot pokers with the giant reed grass. The geometric shape of the sun-loving blooms, changes a country pitcher into a modern presentation.

You name it….it looks fabulous in these white containers. I love the combination of textures that the country chicken feeder galvanized metal and glossy ceramics and again the rustic wood. The morning sun shining through this still life just sets it off. Sigh………………
