Today, we’re going to be inspired to create a country garden! Tammy has created a beautiful oasis with pretty perennials as well as unique garden accents, like a rusty childhood tricycle of her husband’s!
I’ve collected some of Tammy’s most popular gardening posts below, where each picture is a clickable link to her original article or DIY tutorial.
(Definitely pin this for later, as there’s lots of extra gardening goodies in each of the links!)
Let’s begin to create a country garden!
Our first stop is Tammy’s garden, her wonderful hideaway! Tammy says it took her almost 6 years to create this garden. The original plot of land was basically just dirt.

Have you jumped on the hypertufa bandwagon yet? Tammy has an easy tutorial to make your own hypertufa pot, complete with lots of helpful pictures.
And every country garden needs those rustic – and rusty – touches that make the garden feel like it’s been there for a long time! Tammy has quite a few of those, like this rusty tricycle:
You can see many of her unique garden accents in these posts:
And I couldn’t resist including this old boot arrangement, even though it’s something Tammy created for indoors. As she suggests, old boots can make great planters too!
I hope you’ve been inspired by Tammy! And I hope you create a country garden of your own!
Happy gardening!
