My Leopard Print Couch – Decorating Ideas
When trying to come up with new decorating ideas in my living room…I always wind up rearranging instead of buying….and this is why it works. My furniture is fairly neutral. You can’t imagine how many different styles and sizes of seating options I’ve gone through over the years. If there is one thing I’ve learned from all of this: buy to the size of your room…and buy neutral. I’m a colorful person…and this has been a super hard lesson for me. Case in point: I have a room size rug that you’ll see in the pictures…she’s big…and she’s bold and man is she ever BOSSY! But…I love her, and as long as I keep everything else calmed down….it works. I’m drawn to big, bold, bright furniture. I have a leopard print couch…I’m sure Y’all remember it from the story about my grand-kids’ little couch. I seriously love this thing. I’ve had it for quite some time now…and love it just as much as when I bought it from my mom several years ago. You would think that it would be hard to decorate around, with all that print going on…but it’s actually quite opposite. Because the spots are small….it reads as black. I can make my living room like a completely different room, by just changing out a few things, and scooting others around.
The Kilim Rug pillows just look too cute on her!! I can’t believe I have those! I ordered them on-line several years ago…and I’ve been in LOVE ever since. My kids laugh at me…because of my “GRANNY” accessories. I can’t help it….lol….I’m becoming my mother!
This couch even looks good with that Bossy Rug I was telling Y’all about!
Another reason I love her so much….look how small she is. at 80″ she fits in my demur living room perfectly. I’ve had my larger, more cumbersome sofas in this room before, and although I love my big honkin’ deep couch….this one fits much better in here. I’ve grown to love the petite-ness about her! My bigger ones could fly in my sun room….if I didn’t have so many plants in there. I really need to do something about that!
To give Y’all an idea of how small this room is….here’s one more:
I have grown to love a lot of things I never thought I could.
My tiny little cottage
My tiny little fireplace
and my tiny little leopard print couch!
Would you buy a leopard print couch? Cause I did!!!
Are you becoming your mother? Is that too nosy?

I love leopard print…but until now I’ve only worn it — a sweater, a scarf, a hat. I’d never considered the pattern for furniture but seeing your tiny couch, it’s really a statement piece isn’t it? I don’t know if it would work as well in a bigger, larger piece of furniture, but then again…you never know until you try, right?
Am I becoming my mother? Oh honey, that ship sailed a long time ago!! lol!! Not only am I starting to look more like her, I’ve been behaving and sounding like her for years!! And that’s not a bad thing at all! xo

Oh….Thank Goodness! Sometimes I feel like I’m all alone. You’d be amazed…I think this print would work with any size piece! It’s actually very neutral. Thanks!
