Cotton and Burlap Wreath
Living in the country….I learned to love organic items. There is something so beautiful about natural finds. I think that’s why burlap is one of my favorite textiles. I even love the way it smells. Maybe it’s the way almost all commodities are packaged in it….kinda near my heart. (I think a left over from our farming days) I’m making a cotton and burlap wreath.
Since we no longer farm….I had to go steal borrow the neighbor’s field. I didn’t steal much!
I really didn’t want to change up any of the wreaths I already had…so I decided to make a new one….I don’t just keep spare wreaths laying around. lol I hunted around out at the barn for something round…no luck….I was fixing to head back to the house when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a coiled up stretch of hot wire fencing. So…that became the cotton and burlap wreath base. Now…burlap and netting….I ALWAYS have!!! And so a new recycled treasure was born!
This is something seriously ANYONE could put together in thirty minutes!
I even emptied several boles…..I absolutely ADORE them without the cotton!!!
Would Y’all put this on your wall? Did Y’all notice the rock behind the wreath….yep I’ve started painting it!!! Just the inside in the sunroom…..I haven’t convinced Dave that the outside would look good painted….boo I really want to do it….but I know as big as my house is…if he doesn’t agree….I’ll be ten years trying to do it alone. Sometimes you just have to have permission. Now…usually my motto is….”It’s easier to beg forgiveness….than get permission” but sometimes….I know what side my bread’s buttered on too! And I’m picking my battles! lol
What do you have around your house and yard that would look good in an Unique interior decoration?
Love Y’all
Tammy
