It's Tuesday...Y'all know what to do!

I was sitting at my laptop this week-end, preparing my introduction for the party this week. It dawned on me, just how wonderful it is to be sharing this weekly event. I’ve learned to appreciate the cooperative power behind joining forces with five other wonderful creators. I hate the term blogger. I just don’t think it does what we justice. I believe that we are so much more than that. I believe we have so much more to offer to the public, than being a blogger. Besides…who came up with that term for our home of creativity anyway? Odd name don’t ya think? Blurb would have fit it somewhat better. Anyway, I really feel blessed to have myself surrounded by these other five ladies…I have no words….I KNOW RIGHT????!!! Me? Without words? Well…anyway…..It’s Tuesday agian. This week Trina’s up, so here we go! Play nice, visit your neighbors…and link up buttercups!!

All Alone

I live in a house full of boys.

I. am. all. alone.

But my boys are young enough that sometimes they still like to do crafty things with me….making frog scarves, framing old t-shirts, or even making signs for their bedroom doors with purple glitter.

So I asked Monkey for some help picking the features for today’s party.

He whined. He hemmed. He hawed.
And after haphazardly pointing to about 50 links he walked away.Then I moved on to recruiting helper number 2…my husband. Me: Hey, will you help me pick the features this week. Just look at the links and tell me which ones pop out to you. I’ll do the rest.
Him {leaning in}: OK.

After picking 3, he grew really quiet.

Me: Is this like when I ask you to go shopping with me?
Him: Um, yeah. Can I go now?

And then there is the 7 year old. He couldn’t sleep. Said he forgot how.

I let him get under the blanket with me and he thoughtfully picked out some links that he liked. He took a painfully long time. I fear it was just a ploy to stay up and snuggle with mommy.

Like I said…in this house… I am all alone.

It’s OK though, because you are all here now! And really, it’s more fun with just the girls, isn’t it!?! {PS…if there are any guy bloggers here…yay! I love that you joined too}.

This Weeks Top {Craft} Picks

{One}
This bicycle transfer is fabulous!I would be making t-shirts for my boys, just like this one from Leslie at The Seasoned Homemaker all the time if I had a silhouette! Leslie made it look so simple!

{Two}
I made my duvet cover a couple years ago, so I love to see how other people make them too. This one from Corey at Tiny Side Kick looks so comfortable and that tiny fake sleeper is adorable!

{Three}
Wooden Spoons are beautiful and rustic on their own, but these painted handles done by Madalyn at Home Hearted make me smile. It is such a simple touch that adds so much character.

{Four}
These felt envelopes from, Look What Mom Found, are so sweet! Makes me wish I had little girls to help me make them and then we could give special treats to all their friends. At least I can still get my 5 year old to push the pedal on my sewing machine…that is always fun!

{Five}
Rhonda from Feet Grounded on the Earth, made these reusable produce bags for the grocery store and I am in love. I have been contemplating how to make these (using old t-shirts), but didn’t know how the cashier would ring them out without touching my food. These are perfection, because they are semi-see-through!

{Six}
How about a little pom pom garland from Mary Beth from Cupcakes and Crinoline? It is adorable for Valentine’s Day or even to make it in different colors for a shower or birthday! Plus she has a video tutorial that was fantastic!
