Here are three downloadable nasturtium recipes for print. I love nasturtiums, they are definitely a garden must have. Not only do they serve as pest repellants….they are AWESOME for eating too! Bonus…..super easy to grow!!! Nasturtiums will sprout within just a few days of planting, without any care at all. You really don’t have to be too worried about the depth of the seed, or the amount of water. They pop up… and are generally drought tolerant from the very beginning. However, a little deadheading is useful if you would like them to continue to bloom for you throughout the season.
Nasturtiums are wonderful to add as a garnish, and look beautiful in any salad or beside any main course. Our family loves them in salads and stuffed. The blossoms and leaves both are edible… you just want to be careful and wash them well… as they are also a favorite place for little bugs to hide. Another bonus is that the humming birds absolutely ADORE the blooms and will spend tons of time savoring the nectar from these useful and healthy plants.
If you like the taste of radishes, then these are certainly the plants for you to grow each season. They are super healthy and nutritious, and serve as a source rich in vitamins. With their bright colors, and darling round foliage, you’re sure to have a winner for your flower beds this season.
