Ten Reasons I LOVE crayons

I’ve noticed all over the internet crayon art….it’s insane how some of the simplest things just get BIG.  I’ve seen some pretty cool stuff too!

I couldn’t resist….I just had to try this.  I thought and thought about putting my brand on it….and I guess I just wasn’t inspired enough to come up with anything life changing! So ultimately I just found some broken bits in the grand kids’ crayon box….and sort of arranged them how I liked on my canvas….and melted them.  I kinda turned the canvas this way and that to get them to run some what….Then I let it dry.

Now….being one to NEVER leave things alone….and NEVER completely happy with my work….I couldn’t just accept that.

So…I sketched a design….and painted it….I like it…but I really think….It’s just a rough draft….and I DO want to try it again.  It was sort of relaxing!….and just a little mesmerizing watching the colors run!

I like the way the paint cracked a little revealing the colors beneath.

I’ve kinda had a love affair with crayons my whole life…..really….who hasn’t?

Who thought them up?  WOW….genius!  I’ll have to show you another time….another cool little project I learned when I was about ten…..and my kids just LOVED it too!

I really don’t have ten reasons I love crayons….well I probably do….but I’m too lazy to think hard enough to come up with them!
