Love Art
Today my cute little faux sweater stalkings art are debuting at Inspiration Cafe.
If you get there before my post goes up, be patient….it’ll show up! I hope Y’all will click over and join them and check out their site! I think you’ll find it pretty interesting!
After Christmas…the house seems a little sad with no decorations up. I’m kinda missing some themed decor, so I came up with these cute little decorative easels for a project. They are leftovers from another project I’m working on, and Y’all know me….keep everything!
They’re really simple to make, and I think they’re kinda festive for Valentine’s Day decorations.
Start by getting the easel backs from dollar store frames.
Smooth around the edges and paint a color of your choice. I chose red. These might be awesome at Christmas too with the word Joy or whatever….and I think they’d look AWESOME with my tattered burlap Christmas trees…don’t you?
Cut a piece of burlap that’s just a bit smaller than your easel back…and then I took an upholstery tack and tacked it down on each corner…mostly for looks….but you don’t even have to glue the burlap down if you do this. You will have to fold down the points in the back if you use tacks…or just live with them sticking out…which is what I did.
Now cut just a bit smaller rectangles of fabric out in the colors and patterns you like. And cut your shapes…square letters are super easy, but if you’re not comfortable doing this by hand…you could print them out on the computer. I used a heart for the V.
Now…how simple was that? Do you like to decorate for the small holidays?
Love Y’all!!!

This IS great, and it looks like something even I might be able to do (not the best at being crafty, I’m sad to say, but I sure like looking at others’). 🙂
