Brought to you by the Letter K
Not so long ago I made a little printable with the Letter K But today….The letter K is for Killough’s front porch in the fall.
I don’t have a big ole stately entrance. I live in a little rock cottage. Actually this house, is the smallest home I’ve ever lived in. But the porch, although not grandiose, has so much charm. It’s warm and cozy. There isn’t really enough room for my old rocking bench….but There is room for one person to sit and read and have an iced tea or maybe a little daydream. I’ve really had more than a few good moments on this porch.
Fall seems to be the funnest time for porch decorating. If you start in September….you get to enjoy it till clear into December. There are no other holidays that last three months or more….most of the decorations can even fill in your Christmas decor. That really makes a buck stretch. Speaking of stretching a Dollar…All of my decorations cost so very little to make. I love a low cost decorating! I hope you got to see my tutorials for many of the decorations you’ll see on my porch. So…step on up and take a look around!
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here….how bout you sit and enjoy your stay. I’m thinking about shudders….what do you think? I think I see a project in the future!
Have a seat in my bent Willow chair
Set your glass of my perfect sweet tea down….
Now that you’re sitting there…look behind you…see that wreath? That was really easy to make. I used my leaf templates, added some ribbon and bows. flowers…and pumpkins using a hot glue gun…and poking and gluing on a simple wreath base I bought at Hobby Lobby.
It really was that simple…and humble…just like my little humble porch.
Look to your right….
There’s that swag I made from my leaves…and some using my aged paper technique…
Can you tell I like a natural colored fall? I did do a colorful porch too though…a RED one!
I LOVE my porch, I’m drawn to the humble appeal of the naturals and calming whites and beige tones. Red is my favorite color, but somehow the brighter colors of fall don’t always appeal to me.
I’m so glad you stopped by my fall porch. I hope you’ll come back soon to see some more of my fall decor.
Y’all come back now…..Ya hear?
I almost forgot….what’s a front porch….without a door?
Thanks so much for stopping by my porch…don’t forget to go check out the other porches. There are twenty five total. Five porches a day! WOW!

Your porch is absolutely gorgeous! There are so many things that I love about it, I don’t know where to start. The porch itself, the rocks – love those! Is your whole house covered in those? And I like how you made a wall with the door and the ladder. The wreath over there is so pretty and I totally agree with you about the calming effect of the color scheme. The big letter is a super cute idea and last but not least, I can’t get Alan out of my head – way cute post title!

Love your “rock cottage” porch! The wreath is divine. I agree shutters would be a fun addition, but certainly not need. I can see perfectly distressed ones encasing your window. Great being on tour with you my friend!

My children’s paternal grandparents lived in one of those little rock cottages in the Ozarks. It had a small porch and it was wonderful. Their grandpa was a stone mason and did the rock work on the house and many other houses in south central Missouri. Those places are still there and a wonderful memory of Grandpa B.
Your rock cottage is beautiful and I love the porch!
