Today I have an easy tip for you: how to cut burlap fabric in straight lines.
If you’ve ever cut burlap and come away frustrated, then this post is for you!
Step One: Take a piece of the burlap’s fringe, i.e. one string. Gently and slowly begin pulling it out of the burlap.
Step Two: If it starts to bunch up, just smooth out the fabric and proceed.
Step Three: Remove the burlap string and in its place is a straight line for you!
Step Four: To give yourself a right angle, just repeat the above steps by starting with any burlap string that intersects the straight line you just made.
And to cut out a square in burlap: Just measure how big (or small) you want your square to be, repeat the above steps one more time, and cut out your square!
Happy crafting!
