Flower pots from junk
I’m wondering if our love of summer flowers and junk has always existed? I know it has for me. Flower pots from junk are just a part of my decor in the house…and in the yard. I love junk almost any way you package it. Speaking of packaging…here are some tips for planting container gardens.
Old junk is just the perfect think to put a plant in. It’s generally already rusted out…so ruining it…really isn’t a problem. Most of the time….we’ve drug it out of the trash…or some other fun spot…so really who’s hurt by that? As you’ll see….I even use it to save a sentimental item.
I’ve been doing this for a long time…and I want to show you a few examples of my flower pots from junk.
Here’s an old wheelbarrow that’s bottom rusted out….I just let it rot in my flower bed…and I plant flowers in the old bucket.
You can’t get any more fitting for flower pots from junk….than an old watering can. I love watering cans…and anytime I have the opportunity to acquire one, I snap it up! Click here for more flower pots from junk

I love the whole flowers in junk (ie metal containers) decor. I just wish I could master it; none of my attempts look even remotely this cute! Hope you’re having a great weekend 🙂

Again, great ideas! I wish I had a big enough place here in California to collect “junk” and get creative. But I know exactly what to do if I ever move back into my house in Georgia. I have an acre of land there. Your ideas are fantastic!

This is basically how my neighbor’s entire yard looks. There’s almost nowhere to walk! I mostly think it looks good, but it sure does attract a lot of mosquitoes!

It does attract a lot of mosquitoes…but we don’t get much rain..so that helps. We also have a lot of mud swallows and dragonflies…they keep them in check.

Stopping by via Throwback Thursday–love the flowers and love old water cans. I have one in my front garden with Sedum growing in it. It’s such a fun, carefree look. Have a great week-end!
