Aging Paper Technique
This is a really cool little aging paper technique, that takes about 25 minutes. You may remember my wine bottle? Well I used this on its label. I can’t remember how or when I learned this…but at any rate, I’ve been using it on my hymnal sheets and old book pages. I just adore it. You also can have a lot of control over how light or dark you like your paper by adjusting how wet you get it…or how long you bake it.
Pick your paper. I always crumble mine up when doing this aging technique….I just think it catches the tea a little better and make more interesting patterns.
Mix up some instant tea. Mix it really strong. and coat your paper really well.
I always take a few of the grains of tea and sprinkle them about to get some gritty dirty looking places.
Bake your paper at 200 degrees for 10-20 minutes depending on how dark you want it.
What would you use this for?
Love Y’all!

Tammy, I love this aged paper look!
I have a hymnal that I am going to try this technique with; aging the paper, mod pod it to canvas, and then paint a cross on top of it.
