The last trip to Montana….I noticed that in the small town where my hubby lives…..there are NO businesses to speak of. I noticed a hardware store….and a couple of fast food places. There are however COUNTLESS steak houses…and casinos. Lord….I guess it speaks to what men will do when they don’t have women living with them…lol
At one point I needed some hooks for more hanging space….so I decided to go see what the options where at the hardware store. I almost fell over when I stepped in there. It wasn’t just paint and hardware. It wasn’t just lumber, and tools. No. I guess when I town opts not to get a Wal-Mart, and vote in favor of their “Mom and Pop” shops….this hardware store is what happens. They sell all the above….and furniture, carpet, throw rugs, decorative items….EVERYTHING!!! They became my new best friend!!! lol
Now….initially I thought it would just become a throw pillow for the newly recycled bed….with it’s recycled treasure of a headboard. I didn’t have a chance to get anything done with it on that trip.
Of course….the first day back I had to go to the little hardware store….and naturally the thrift store. I found this little frame!!! a buck fifty!!!! can you believe it?
On the way back to the trailer….it dawned on me that it was just about the size to perhaps use for the pillowcase. Sure enough….it fit PERFECT!!! What wasn’t however perfect….was the gold color. So I grabbed the bronze spray paint…
I think it’s just perfect above the door/headboard….Oh…by the way, notice the wall behind the bed….go repainted. I had to….so the pillowcase would show up…. But, if you’ll notice the tiny little square above the pillows….I decided to leave the wall behind the door chocolate….and I do LOVE that! Some times….you just have to experiment to get it right.
Do you ever have to paint a wall over to get it right? What’s the most amount of times you’ve painted a room before you were happy?
